Ausdance skill set for Teaching Dance – is designed for independent/freelance dance artists, graduates of dance or physical theatre courses and registered teachers wanting to gain recognised professional learning in dance.
The Ausdance Skill Set is intended for:
- Independent practising artists working for organisations to present dance to students;
- Graduates of full-time dance or physical theatre courses;
- Registered teachers wanting to gain recognised professional learning in their field or to expand their teaching portfolio;
- Freelance dance artists working in schools, community, social and recreational contexts or dance studios.
The Ausdance skill set for Teaching Dance is a nationally accredited vocational training program that has been developed by Ausdance, the peak body for Dance in Australia. It comprises a set of units that together indicate a person’s ability to teach Dance in a knowledgeable, safe and professional way and which satisfies the profession’s high standards.
