Ausdance Skill Set for teaching dance – is designed for independent/freelance dance artists, graduates of dance or physical theatre courses and registered teachers wanting to gain recognised professional learning in dance.
The ‘Ausdance Skill Set for teaching dance’ is intended for:
- Independent practising artists working for organisations to present dance to students;
- Graduates of full-time dance or physical theatre courses;
- Registered teachers wanting to gain recognised professional learning in their field or to expand their teaching portfolio;
- Freelance dance artists working in schools, community, social and recreational contexts or dance studios.
The ‘Ausdance Skill Set for teaching dance’ is a nationally accredited vocational training program that has been developed by Ausdance, the peak body for dance in Australia. It comprises a set of units that together indicate a person’s ability to teach dance in a knowledgeable, safe and professional way and which satisfies the profession’s high standards.
