Ausdance NT is the peak body for dance in the Northern Territory. We are responsible for servicing the sparse and diverse population up here in the NT. We create, support and nourish diverse and inspirational opportunities for our NT dance sector. We enthusiastically serve our artistically and culturally unique and vibrant dance sector by striving to stay in keeping with our mission statement ‘MAKING DANCE ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE IN THE NT’.
Ausdance NT’s services include:
- Free advice, consultation and advocacy of dance across the sector
- Support and guidance in promotion, grant and funding applications, fundraising and events
- Promotion of NT artists, groups, companies, events and activities through local, regional and national Ausdance networks
- Ausdance NT E-Newsletter updates, including coming events, classes, workshops, opportunities and announcements. It also includes links and access to the extensive National Ausdance website, network and Ausdance NT Facebook Page where you can upload your own updates, photos etc
- Rehearsal Studio (Ausdance NT members at fantastic discounted rates – $5 per hr – Non Members – $25 per hr)
- Greatly reduced premiums and discounts to the Ausdance Insurance Scheme through AON
- Networking opportunities provided through seminars and workshops allowing you to pursue continued professional development and to identify professional opportunities
- Access to current research, e.g. dancer transition, safe dance practices, dance summits, audience development, performance platforms and opportunities
