Dancing in the Sand

Dancing In the SandDancing in the Sand, the Public dance phenomenon of 2009 returns with more nights and an even bigger dance space. On a dance floor with difference, with the security of sand under foot, kick off your shoes, kick up your heels, even if you have two left ones and come expend a little energy.

Set up right in the hub of Festival Park (Civic Square Park) is an irresistible gathering spot for this FREE entertainment and unique audience participation event.

Civic Square holds a special place in Darwin’s dance history. For many years it hosted public dances, debutante balls and waltzes. Over 16 nights throughout the Festival come and discover dances from the Congo to Burma to Kalymnos and back to the latest new dance trends and golden oldie favourites.

Bring the family, enjoy the spectacle, kick off your shoes and DANCE!
